What Is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving - after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, there is Giving Tuesday.

GivingTuesday is a global day of generosity. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world.

At Whitney Young, GivingTuesday is an opportunity to give back to the Annual Fund. Your generous donation is tax-deductible, very needed and much appreciated. If you donate $500 or more to our GivingTuesday campaign, your name will be included on our Champions Among Us donor wall. And new this year...the first 100 people who donate $100 or more will receive a one-of-a-kind sweatshirt that will only be available for this year's GivingTuesday campaign!
