What Does Giving Tuesday Support?

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 during Giving Tuesday. Your donation is tax-deductible, needed and appreciated! You may designate your gift to any of these meaningful programs:

Annual STUDENT Fund - Donations raised for the Annual Fund help fulfill the needs of our passionate students.  Funds raised go directly to support their academics, performing and visual arts, clubs, and sports - programs not funded by CPS. The 100 clubs, 37 interscholastic sports teams, and every classroom is eligible to ask for funding through the Annual STUDENT Fund. Last year we fulfilled 35 requests including funding for Science Olympiads, Model UN, Environmental Science, Mock Trial, Project Blanket, Band, Guitar and Orchestra programs, Girls Softball, Boys & Girls Track and Field, Swimming and more. Campaign for Whitney Young - Every dollar designated to the Campaign will be used for capital improvements at Whitney Young. We have already raised enough funds to replace the lighting in the theater! Alyssa Anastasi and the Young Company Lighting Crew said it best: 

Thank you for the new theater lights! We have been working on putting them up over this weekend- and they are amazing! We love working with them and we are beyond excited to see what we can do with them and with all of the amazing events in the theater! Thank you so much for everything you all have done to make this happen as well as all of the hard work you do for the school!

Our next targets are the science labs, teacher spaces, tennis courts and opportunities to brighten up common spaces. 

Our goal is to raise $500,000 in the Campaign for Whitney Young, and we have already raised  $360,000. Help us reach our goal and provide our amazing students with the tools they need to be their best!
