What Is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving - after Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, there is Giving Tuesday.

It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give and celebrate generosity.

At Whitney Young, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to be a part of this global movement and give back to the Whitney Young program of your choice. Whether it's to the Annual STUDENT Fund, or The Campaign for Whitney Young, your gift reaches every student; it's tax-deductible, very needed and much appreciated.

This year, your donation will be matched thanks to the generosity of some Whitney Young parents. If you would like to give on Facebook, your gift can be tripled. To assure we receive Facebook's portion of the match, please make your donation promptly at 7AM CST before they reach their cap. Last year their cap was reached within a minute!
